Membership Requirements

Ready to be a part of the world’s most influential entrepreneurial community?

EO membership is by invitation only, limited to those who are the founder, co-founder, owner or controlling shareholder of a company. Your business must gross more than US $1 million annually.

After you have applied to become a member through the website:

Application Review

Your application is reviewed by the local chapter to see if it meets the membership criteria.

Chapter Communication

An interview is scheduled with you to further explore your interests in EO in order to determine if you are a good fit for EO Chennai.

Orientation & Training

If your application is accepted based on your review and interview, within the first three months of membership, you will partake in an orientation from a member of the EO staff. You will then go through Forum training and be placed in a Forum.

Membership Qualification Criteria

Only qualified applicants will be considered. Qualification does not ensure admission into the chapter. All applicants are subject to approval by the Entrepreneurs’ Organization.

To qualify to become a member of the EO Chennai Chapter, you must meet the following criteria:

You must be the founder, co-founder, owner or controlling shareholder of a qualifying business

Your business must have annual gross turnover of sales/ annual commission billing for profit

= INR 7 Crores (1st Gen/ Women Entrepreneur)

= INR 35 Crores (2nd Gen Entrepreneur)

Final membership requires unanimous acceptance of the entire local chapter (i.e. all 107 members of the Chennai Chapter).

Membership Dues

Member fees comprise both global and chapter dues. Global dues are currently US$2200 (plus a one-time US$2500 initiation fee) and are prorated based on the fiscal month you join. Chapter dues differ depending on your chapter’s policies.​​​​
